EKU comes into the Nutter Center after losing on the road to Western Kentucky 74-54. The Lady Raiders lost their season opener as well on the road against IPFW 83-67.EKU leads this series 6-3 but the last match in Nov 2008 saw WSU walk away with a 53-47 win in Kentucky.

EKU is being led by 6-1 Senior Colette Cole who has averaged 12ppg and 5 Rebounds. She lead the Lady Colonials with 12 points against Western KY. However, EKU has a problem controlling the ball and in their season opener turned it over 28 times.

Wright State is being lead by Junior LaShawna Thomas. Against IPFW she sank 22 points and grabbed 8 rebounds, leading the Lady Raiders in both categories. Senior Erica Richardson put in 17 points with 5 rebounds and Sophomore Molly Fox sank 12 and pulled down 5 rebounds. Fox, as the Coach said "is back" from her shoulder injury.

While EKU shot 35.7% (15-42) in their opener, Wright State women hit 46.7% (28-60). The Lady Raiders turned it over 17 times, better than last season's rate of 21 per game. WSU however failed to guard the three, giving up 11 three point shots at IPFW.

This can be a good game for the Lady Raiders on Thursday. Play starts at 7pm in the Nutter Center. The Lady Raiders will follow this game by hosting the University of Akron on Sunday at 1pm.
