All good things must come to an end, including Wright State's 11-game winning streak.

When Illinois St. defeated the Raiders 54-46 more than just the streak came to an end. The streak was a school record and was also the third longest in the nation.

The biggest thing that kept Wright State from winning was their inability to score. The 46 points was the lowest total for the Raiders since Dec. 8 when they defeated Butler 43-42. In the first half Wright State scored just 20 points and failed to make a field goal in the first 7:21 of the second half.

Despite the lack of scoring Wright State, like so many other games this season, was able to keeps things close. After being down by as many as 18 they were able to rally and pull to within 3 with under a minute to go.

That was all the Raiders could manage though. They missed their final three shots of the game and sent ISU to the free-throw line for eight shots in that same amount of time.

"The way we played the first half, we needed to score," said head coach Brad Brownell. "the way we played, we needed to make more shots. We guarded them about as well as we could have. They only score 54 points."

Wright State has been able to hold their opponent's scoring extremely low this season. During their win streak only two opponents were able to score more than 60 points - UIC and Green Bay - and in three of those games they held their opponent to less than 50 points.

But the team they have held to the fewest points was Butler, which is who they are playing on Thursday. Ironically the 42 points in also the lowest total the Bulldogs havescored all season. The difference is this time the Raiders will be playing at Hinkle Fieldhouse, a place they haven't won at for two years.

The game will air on ESPNU and will tip-off at 9 p.m.
