The Wright State Women's team (10/5-3 HL) will finish their three game home stand on Saturday at 1pm in the Nutter Center. They will host 8th place Detroit (6-13/2-6 HL) Saturday before going on the road for two games before returning Thursday Feb 12th to play Green Bay.

The third place Raiders plan to finish their home stand with another victory. They have won their last two games, both of which were at home. Hopefully, being a Saturday, they will improve their attendance figures and students will come out to show their support.

The Lady Raiders are being lead by Sophomore LaShawna Thomas who is third in the Horizon league with 13.5 points per game. Thomas also is 10th with 2.8 Assists per game. Right behind her is classmate Shey Peddy who is holding the sixth position in the HL with 12.3ppg; 3rd in Assists with 3.9; and First in the league with 3.1 steals per game. Those steals places her 11th in the NCAA for steals.

Wright State has a well rounded team this year with lots of talent. Sophomore Ta-myra Davis is sinking 7.8ppg while leading the team with 5.3 rebounds each outing. Freshman Molly Fox is putting in 5.6 points and gets 4.2 boards. She is #8 in the HL with 2.2 offensive rebounds per game. Fox also is currently tied for 9th in the HL, getting .7 "Fox-blocks" per game.

Freshman Maria Bennett is the HL's fifth highest for three point shooting percentage with 42.2%, while Sophomore Kanisha Ward is in sixth place right behind Bennett with 39.6% from beyond the arc. The Raiders can show a mix talent to spread the defense and gets some points.

Detroit's record can be misleading. They are being lead by 5-10 G/F Senior Sandi Brown who has a couple of double-doubles this year. She hits for 12.4ppg (5th in the HL) while getting 6.6 rebounds (6th in HL).

Working with Brown is 5-9 G Junior Brigid Mulroy is holding the tenth place in HL scoring sinking 10.5ppg. These two players can create difficulties if they aren't controlled during the game.

The Wright State Raiders have a good chance of winning this game on Saturday. The game starts at 1pm in the Nutter Center. Come out and cheer the women on! The men are away and their game won't start until 7pm so you have time to get back home and watch it on HLN. The women, although playing well have the second worst attendance record in the Horizon League! Now is the time we can start to turn that around!

Next for the women is a road-trip to Butler, which will be on ESPNU, Friday Feb 6th at 9pm.
