Thursday marked the first time since Jan 3 they played at the Nutter Center. While the fans were happy to see the team play in person, the players were glad to play at home for another reason.

"It felt good, not having to get off the bus and get in the gym," said Todd Brown. "But it also felt good to get the win in front of the home crowd."

In the first half, the game was more of a shootout than anything. Wright State drained eight three points with five different players making shots from beyond the arc.

The eight three-pointers were the most threes the team has made in a half this season. They almost surpassed their game high total for three pointers this season, which was ten against Valparaiso.

Three-point land wasn't the only spot the Raiders were hot from. The made shots all over the court. In the first half Wright State was 16-27 from the field and were able to pull down 14 rebounds before heading into the locker room with a 41-30 lead.

"We were just penetrating and finding the open guy. We got some open looks and were able to knock them down," said Troy Tabler, who had three of the Raider's eight buckets from behind the arc. "We've got a lot of shooters on this team with Todd (Brown), Cooper (Land) and J.D.(John David Gardner). With them, if you get an open look, that's just what happens."

The second half was a different story. Wright State only attempted five three-point shots and missed them all. In fact, they only made seven shots in the entire half.

But they made up for it on the defensive end and only allowed Loyola to make four shots. And in the final minutes of the game, three different Raiders had dunks.

When asked which half was more fun, Brown could only lean back and smile.

"We won the game so both halves were fun," he said.

The Raiders are now 11-8 (5-3 Horizon) and winners of 11 of their last 13 games. The next game is Saturday as the Raiders host UIC in a 7:00 contest.

Afterwards, the WSU Alumni Association will host the annual beer tasting in the Berry Room ($5 members and $10 non-members)
